To Sell or Presell? - To Fail or succeed?

The above means the same thing.

The answer to the burning question is as follows:

• Build a web site to sell and you will fail
• Build a web site to presell and you will succeed

Answer this question: Do you buy if a salesman approaches you and says you need this widget if you want to be successful?
99.9% of people would not buy.

If you read some useful information that explains what the widget can do for you maybe 2 to 3% will buy.

However, lets look at this situation. The sell approach.

You have been thinking about a work at home business and you start a search which brings up several million web sites most of them are trying to sell every get rich quick program available.

They promise that you will make thousands of dollars in a few months.

What do they do to help you?

They provide you with an affiliate web site which is the same for every person that joins. They tell you to contact everyone you know and tell them you have found the perfect way to retire in a few months.

When you run out of people that you know they say. Buy lists and send them emails. Also, send to safe lists.  After you have sent out thousands of emails without a single person buying into the wonder program, you get discouraged and try to contact your up-line but no one replies because they have all quit.  So you quit and go on to the next wonder program.

You try that one with the same results.  Then you decide none of them work. So you quit. You just joined the other 97%

Can It Be Done??

If you just build a web site and put links to sales pages, it will not work.

Now lets look at a presell situation

You have been thinking about a work at home business and you start a search for information that will help you make a decision as to the best way to approach this new idea.

Once again you go to the search engine and enter some keywords to see if you can get some useful information. You find a web site that is loaded with information about the niche that your keywords were all about.

This web site does not try to sell you anything. It just provides useful information about the niche area of interest.

It has useful comparisons and reviews. Everything you read is designed to presell you with good useful information.

You will be asked to subscribe to a newsletter that will continue to provide lots of useful information about the the area that interests you.

You will find recommendations about products that you are interested in.

Which web site would you click on??  It's a no brainer.
